Confusion and blankness

January 12, 2009

I don’t think I’m well, and that’s that. My head is off into another world, when I touch something I can vaguely feel it, but not properly grip. My mind keeps running off and leaves me lying in bed not knowing what is going on. It took 4 hours for me to get up this morning, the same as the last week. I’m sleeping and sleeping, and not doing much else; I’m becoming very talented at staring into space! On wednesday, my exams start. I’m going to have to settle with 40% because I’m not here, I left my brain in Manchester and brought my body to my bed in Birmingham.

I’m permanently confused, I recognise my surroundings but I can’t remember where from; quite frustrating. I’m doing the bare minimum and even that isn’t enough. My work ethic of last week still needs to move 80 miles or so south, or Aston needs a bigger library. It’s a shame you don’t get marks for intention: I went to the library to try and get work done, to focus, but it was full; every desk taken. It seems I’m getting great at sleeping, but the French Revolution or Otto von Bismarck? Forget it!

I was meaning to go to the gym today, not a new years’ resolution technically, because I used to go all the time at home, but more of a losing the belly type thing, but after my legs nearly dying on my after 3 flights of stairs, I decided that wasn’t the best plan! Passing out in front of strangers? No thanks! It’s not that I’m eating badly: I ate well over christmas and regained my curves, and I want to keep them, just the fact that although having a belly is quite comfortable, my natural instinct tells me to quash it by 500 situps a day thank you very much! Thankfully, my motivation only stretches to sleeping, so I’m sure it’ll stay for a while.

Oh, and does anyone have 400 words I could borrow? Preferably in French…

    Rabbit?
Ohh, I get it now, thanks! I only need 200 now. I’m thinking of opening the Malibu and finishing my essay under the influence of that…

Do it! Actually don’t take academic advice from someone who never made it to Uni ๐Ÿ™‚

I did. I opened the Malibu at 9 and it’s been flowing since then. This essay may make interesting reading tomorrow… well actually the truth of what happened is I opened the Malibu and read ‘the silver sword’ by Ian serralier, then at about half 11 started doing this bloody essay again. 9 words till the minimum count ๐Ÿ˜€

Yeah my french was crap, I say was because I have forgotton it all, but not so long ago I did get a B for it at GCSE which wasnt so bad going considering my lack of linguistic qualities. Hows the essay going? Hannah X

    Go you!

The essay hasn’t been glanced at yet today, but it is within the word count so in theory it can be handed in now… but I’ll check it over before I do that for some any interesting mistakes! I just need to do the bibliography *falls asleep*

Must practice grammar. Must practice grammar and social linguistics.

Why did I put my bed next to the radiator?! That makes it so enticing…

    xx
